ok ok so you force me to explain. Given the fact that his influences and effectiveness was hyped into the stratosphere , and the fact that Al-Q. tried to reign him in numerous times. And the fact that he pledged allegiance to Al-Q only after the invasion of Iraq. And did more harm to their cause than good by killing innocent muslims only reitterates the fact that our governement used him as basically a scapegoat from the beggining ( http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2006/04/09/AR2006040900890.html) A propoganda poster child. This is a war against a 1000 headed snake, not one or 10 punks. His death although, yeah we killed an 'insurgent mastermind' , was trivial in the grand scheme of things. And the false sense of hope is anything but hilarious. The triviality out-weighs the fact of his death 1000 to 1.

Just think of this as a comparison to the 'war on drugs' <--- (laugh) or the Mafia.
Take one down and someone else gets a promotion.
Now dont get me wrong, I dont want that to happen but ......
and DD, 95% of the worlds wealth is controlled by 5% of its population. Theres nothing wrong with that is there ?

Solve the problem of poor people, Ruck. Do it. Save the world of it's poverty. It's NEVER been done. This capitalistic economy we have where people can become billionaires has had the side effect of producing the highest standard of living ever produced by any civilization in the history of mankind. That's what realists did. An idealist like Marx said "let none be poor". A realist like Adam Smith said "as few poor as is possible". Stop complaining about it. Stop blaming Bush about it. Do something.

ohh yeah, my bad, I'm not a realist
a realist would recognize that there are two sides that will be affected by Zarqawi's death in completely different ways instead of just running around like a fucking chicken with his head cut off clucking "IT'S TEH POINTLESS SOMEONE ELSE WILL TAKE HIS PLACE, BLOOD FOR OIL, ALLAH AKBAR, THE TRUTH IS OUT THERE!!!" at the top of his lungs. a realist wouldn't ignore the beneficial effects of Zarqawi's death and oversimplify the situation by claiming there are a hundred realistically potential replacements for Zarqawi. but hey, you'd already know this and follow it by example if you were a realist, right? yer accent makes you sound retarded

The high tide lifts all boats.
The best chance we have to eliminate poverty is to let democracy, capitalism, and education spread around the world, teach tolerance to eliminate racism, sexism, and discrimination of all kinds, and then champion research and technology, as they ARE progress. They will cure our problems, from energy problems, to diseases, in ways unimaginable today.
And we need to stop or limit those things that stand in the way of progress, whether that be unnecessary wars, or bullshit government programs, or liberty infringing laws. This is the struggle humanity is left with. Ultimately it is a struggle to get a long, in time for us to solve our few remaining problems.

It is a big step in the war. Instead of having 1 group run by him, now there is several groups all run by different people. It is easier to take on one small group at a time then it is 1 large orginized group. (i.e. independence from england)

Zera's absolutely correct.
The cost of war is a hard pill to swallow, but it is being made necessary. In the long run, anyway.
