Hmmm, no Chaingun from Serious Sam 1.

Obviously this list was compiled by Fox News while under the direct influence of the U.S government in order to further the establishments' agenda. There can be no doubt that a free thinking examiner reviewing these weapons from an objective and unbiased perspective would have arrived at the same conclusions as I did. I believe this to be yet another tactic used to divide and conquer the voting population in America. A tool of the media (and by extention the government) being applied to misdirect people from the real substantive issues regarding video gaming weaponry. It's very convenient that do to the use of computerized Diebold voting machines we are now unable to audit the voters choices and verify the accuracy of the results.

Clearly, the Chaingun should have been #1.

The BFG only makes that list because of it's name.  The Railgun should be higher.  A sniper weapon with a fading trail was just a tremendous innovation for the Quake series.  A sniper weapon that is guaranteed to expose the location of the shooter, that's a key innovation that eliminated the whole notion of camping and sniping, and ensured Quake would be a fast paced game.

Q1 lightning gun should have been in there somewhere.  (6-7-8? on the list)

That perfect dark console weapon + turret thing is just a knock off of a weapon in the mod called Chaos Q2. :/  It even looks exactly the same.

Q1 Q2 or Q3 CTF Grapple should be very near the top of the list, because it can be used as a weapon, and no weapon ever has singlehandedly upped the intensity of a game like the Grapple did.  For the same reason a Quake Rocket launcher has to be on there somewhere.  Not only as a weapon but as a movement aid, for both rocket jumps and for blasts sending you horizontally careening down a long hallway, or through an open space.

A few others who would be close to being on the list, but I'm not sure if they should be are the Q1 Nailgun, and the Q2 hand-thrown grenade.  UT Teleporter would also have to get honorable mention, even though it is borderline a weapon.

Man, I spent a while thinking through all the other FPS's I've played and there just aren't many inventive weapons.  So many FPS's try to do 'real weapons' and that doesn't allow for any creativity.
