The US is so far from being a theocracy, it's not even funny. He's a religious leader that uses his religion as guidance, but the surpreme courts would never let the US become a theocratic state. I do agree that GWB is sometimes over the top religious and uses it to pull favour from time to time which is an insult to christianity itself.

not quite as far from it as you think. the supreme court has just recently taken a pretty good swing to the right. Also I dont know if your aware but one of the knucklheads quoted on that website created a college with a graduate law school to attack the freedoms we take for granted now. And have you noticed how when a judge takes a progressive stance nowadays they are labeled an "activist" judge ? the knucklhead btw is pat robertson and here is the college : http://www.regent.edu/acad/schlaw/ |

Yeah, conservative politicians call them activist judges. This is a trend just like freedom fries and flip flop. It's just pandering, I wouldn't put too much weight into it. There are more right leaning judges now, yes, but right doesn't mean more theocratic.
Pat Robertson is a blowhard. I wouldn't pay too much attention to what he says either nor to what people from his school say as they're from a different school of thought that does not represent the judiciary.
