p.s. nothing amuses me more than when people who haven't lived their lives in the US become such experts on how everything goes down here.  especially people who have hair-trigger tempers that flare any time their country receives so much as mock criticism.

C'mon now, War, it isn't like Canada is on the other side of the globe.  I would almost, almost posit that some Canadians may well be better informed on what is going on down here because they don't have to get their information from biased and filtered US news sources....just biased and filtered Canadian news sources.   Undecided

I also don't see him claiming to be an expert anywhere in his post, I mean, anyone with half a brain that lives in Canada doesn't have to go very far to find reliable sources of news and information on the US.  Why is it necessary to live in the US in order to have an opinion on what happens in the US in the first place?

This is ignorant and pisses me off. You may want to rephrase that.

It isn't.

It doesn't make a difference where the person lives, as long as they agree with you!

so your neighbors know what it's like to live in your house?

you would really really like to try to make a point here wouldn't you but it's just not happening.

don't start with the bleeding heart holding hands around a campfire bullshit.  no one said he couldn't have an opinion so don't think you can pull the censorship whine out of your ass and have it taken seriously.

FFS I can have an opinion on what it's like to be a taxi driver in New Delhi India but how accurate or informed is that opinion going to be?  There was nothing new, insightful, or profound about blood's post and I basically said as much.  my comment regarding hair-trigger tempers whenever our little brothers to the north receive criticism still stands.

But hey you could always prove me wrong... since we're all such good neighbors and so well-informed, let's talk about the Liberal Party corruption scandal awhile, eh?

An utter bullshit analogy.  Quite a bit of difference between discussing and commenting on a nation's leader and the things that happen in a private residence.  Try again, this time actually think before you wag your lips.

Hide behind semantics much?  It is painfully obvious to any one paying attention that you were referring to Bloodshot in your reply, as you had just finished quoting him again and again.  And if you weren't, then your generalizations are even that much more absurd.

If you can't see my point, then that is your problem, not mine.  The simple fact of the matter is is that Canada has news agencies, reporters, even TV!!!!  And with those things, I believe their citizenry can maybe actually stand a chance of becoming rather well informed...especially about the leader of a country that you share a rather large border with and whose foreign policy directly influences you and an economy that your country is very much tied to and........................................................

Every time you come in here with your bullying ways and your contextually incorrect quotes and whine about censorship when no one even mentioned censorship only shows you to be a grumpy old piece of shit who just can't move on.  I'm not trying to censor you War, I'm trying to get you to actually make an effort at thinking before you start spewing utter nonsense.   AND, I'm in no way ashamed of being of bleeding-heart, nor should I be.  So if you want to villianize something like that go right ahead, but the only purpose it is serving is to show how shallow and full of shit you are.

So flame away, jackass, your predictability only grows with each post.

an utter bullshit copout.  the analogy holds true no matter how much you cry.

so you're saying someone from another country stands to have a much clearer and more accurate understanding of this country's leaders than your neighbors have of you?  ROFLMAO.  not even in NYC buddy.

Quote

there are no semantics.  I made a broad generalization of the attitudes and actions of canadians with regard to our politics.  certain aspects of that generalization applied to bloodshot's post, others did not.  don't blame me because you're too simple to grok it.

I believe you've been spending too much time with children.  your cogitative abilities seem to have atrophied greatly.

you had no point and you still don't have one.  you even went so far as to contradict yourself. end of story.

Oh, I see.  Now it's "maybe actually stand a chance of becoming rather well informed" instead of the prior "may well be better informed".  Now who's playing semantics nigga?

seriously.  you look like a fucking crybaby when you fall back on this shit. stop being a fucking pussy for once in your life.  stop blaming me when you don't get a message because you're too busy feeling sorry for yourself.  oh, and most importantly, stop being a blubbering fucking hypocrite.

Like I said before, you've probably been spending so much time arguing with little kids that you forget how to reason like an adult.  Nowhere do I mention or imply censorship of myself.  My comment regarding censhorship was directed towards the implied charge that I want to censor bloodshot in your statement, "Why is it necessary to live in the US in order to have an opinion on what happens in the US in the first place?".  You should be feeling pretty fucking silly right about now but experience has taught us that probably wont be the case and you'll continue to make a fool of yourself.

lets stop the bitter bickering.

War:  America is the leader of the free world.  America is earth's celebrity. The whole world get's their jollies off by sticking their noses in your shit.  If fucking Jessica Simpson took a fucking runny dump in her back yard, don't you think people would know about it?

Yes, FORMER President.  If you had, in your life, such a huge fucking responsibility, just because it's over doesn't mean your emotions go out the door.  Lets say you had a child.  You were a good father.  Your child dies.  I come along and tell you were a fuckign shit ass, irresponsible father to your child.  How would you feel?

Like I say again and again, stop putting yourself on a pedastal.  We're all human, and Clinton isn't any different.  And in my opinion, as far as humans go, Clinton looks to be pretty decent.  He sure as hell is doing more for this world than I am.

And I NEVER denied ANYONE escaping the cycle of fear that perpetuates this world.  But just because i'm thinking about it doesn't somehow mean I'm trying to be better than you.  We're all in this shit toghether.

All you have to do is just seriously will yourself to open your eyes a little and get out there and ask your own questions.  American citizens are slowly losing their rights.  And you know why that fucking scares me? You know why i care so much about YOUR country.  Because America is still the big brother of OUR world.  America is supposed to be THE Land of the free.  What happens when the capital of the free world falls?  It doesn't look very bright for the rest of us.

It's not bickering, Bloodshot, it is War showing us how utterly childish and idiotic he is.  It always has been and will never be anything more than a mere freakshow when he's around, quite entertaining.

War's response:

That's just your way of saying you have nothing left to say fucktard.  Grow up, stop being a child, you're around children too much, you're stupid, fuckity fuck fuck, I know everything, I'm going to quote you and take your words out of context til my fingers bleed, I know everything, I'm always right and everyone else is always wrong, I know all and them fucking Canadians don't know jack shit about the US, shut up, grow up, and shut up some more.

war and i might disagree, but i refuse to see him as some sort of enemy.  he's a decent enough guy if you get to know him outside of the boards.

I don't think of War as "the enemy" either, BS.  I just think he is as prone to being an idiot as the rest of us are, yet refuses to admit it.  Other than that, I'd actually venture to say that he's enlightened me once or twice on these boards with his opinions.
