I guess I'll take the bull by the horns for this one, so let's get this done right. First off, I need suggestions for places to host the server. I'm not even sure which one mjo uses. After we get suggestions, I'll start a new thread where people can post their pings to the different servers. From that, we'll choose the server and location that is best for everybody.
I'll also start a paypal account in the next couple days so we can get the money going as well.
Thirdly, I'll also be taking suggestions for names for the server. My current suggestion is 'Death Cab for Chew's patients' . If you can come up with a better, more creative or funnier one, feel free to post it.
Also, if you have any other suggestions, please post them. I'd also like to thank xterm for offering the ggl server, but I think a community based server would work better for this type of thing.

Well, the server is most likely going to be somewhere in the midwest or where a major internet junction is (Dallas, Herndon, VA., Chicago).

This is funny i said 2 days ago i would pay for the server and that it wouldnt be a problem. Y joel didnt leason to me i have no idea.If you dont want me to take over mo's just let me know i dont have a problem eather way.

We need someone to do two things:
1) Find a server and figure out how much it will cost. I'm sure a lot of people will have their own opinions on where it should be located...but I figure the more central the location the less that people can bitch about it. Not everyone is going to have a good ping, and that is just how it goes.
2) Set up a PayPal account so that those of us who are able and willing to can donate to help defray the costs. This would obviously be on an "as you can" basis, as not all of us are as gainfully employed as some others. Anyone who can't help out on a consistent basis needs to feel comfortable coming and playing without having to worry about being fucked with, so please use some discretion and let's, for once, try to show some maturity about it.
If no one is willing or able to head this up I suppose I could....although I'll tell you now that I know nothing about setting up servers or adjusting their settings, etc., etc, so I may not be the best person to do so, but if no one else can, I'll give it my best shot.
