Well, looks like everyone got the pick 'em choice right on the first week. I guess we're using that instead of posting all our picks on here every week.
Harrison, Wayne, Peyton, Vinatieri and the Indy D had huge nights last night.

Nope, I can't :/ Sorry.
What I will do is change it so that you can change the picks up till 5 minutes before each game.
Actually, I prefer to be able to change the selection up to 5 minutes before each game. It's nice in case some last minute roster changes or other things happen.
Edit: It is now done.

It's cool. Next time I'll try and pay more attention to it when I'm making my picks.

Were you watching that Den/Buf game live, Joel? I saw that you had picked Denver and figured you must have jumped 10 feet when they got that kick off.

Yeah, it was one of the games I was flipping to while watching GB. I picked Buffalo in another one of my eliminator pools, so that last FG was quite the rush

McNair > Grossman
I heard something funny while watching the SF/ARZ game. The commentators said that two years ago, the team MVP for SF was the kicker...

The rules committee had opportunity to stop what happen to the Jets by giving the D-captain a head set like the QB. That vote failed, bet it will not fail next year.

Funny thing is he got out easy. One of the Dallas coaches got suspended 5 games for using HGH for diabetes. Pats cheat and they dont suspend the coach ? Fuck that

I'm just sick of seeing all the "professional" sports turning into a drama-filled bullshit circus. First its Baseball, then Cycling, Wrestling, Football, NBA. After that we will start seeing 600 yard tee-shots in PGA and wonder WTF?
Just rediculous things can't be the way they used to be.

I agree with Spec, here.
In any sport, an athlete gets caught using performance enhancing substances...and they're suspended. Bellichek gets caught....a fine. Granted, a $500,000 fine, but frankly I think that he got off easy. He should have been suspended...period.

I believe that Belichek should have been suspended too, but I think the big thing the NFL wanted to do was punish management and the organization itself, so I really think that taking away draft picks does that really well.

I agree, but look at the Cowboys coach ... 5 games for using a hormone for his illness?

Slightly different situation. I believe that it was the way and the means that he did it (illegally) plus the fact that it can cause other issues such as him being a source of HGH for his team. I understand his reason, but he never had real medical consent to do it. I thought that 5 games was excessive to begin with, 3 games would have been more than enough, but the NFL wants to have a consistent policy when it comes to performance enhancing substances. It'll be even more interesting to see what happens the next time a team is caught cheating. It might show more consistency in punishment.

Right I agree he should have been suspended but like you said 2-3 games should have done it. But they get the Pat's cheating and they don't suspend the Coach not even 1 game. IMO they should have at least suspended him for 1 - 2 games.

Jay Glazer of Fox Sports obtained portions of the videotape seized by the NFL. Fox aired portions of the tape, which focused on multiple Jets assistant coaches and their signals, before panning up to the scoreboard to indicate down and distance.
After seeing the footage, former Cowboys and Dolphins coach Jimmy Johnson - who works as a host on Fox's pregame show - said on the show: "This is exactly how I was told to do it 18 years ago by a Kansas City Chiefs scout. I tried it, but I didn't think it helped us."
Johnson added that "every team has got a file on the other team. I used to send an intern up to the opposing coach's box after the game and go through the trash. Because after the game, what do they do? They take their game plan and their scouting reports and throw them away. My intern would get all of that stuff and put it right in the file."
Johnson, who has fished with Belichick on the Florida Keys in recent years, defended the coach to a degree.
"Bill Belichick was wrong because he videotaped signals after a memo was sent out to all of the teams saying not to do it," he said. "But what irritates me is hearing some reactions from players and coaches. These players don't know what their coaches are doing. And some of the coaches have selective amnesia because I know for a fact there were various teams doing this. That's why the memo was sent to everybody. That doesn't make him [Belichick] right, but a lot of teams are doing this."
Was it wrong? Absolutely. Was it atrociously wrong? Absolutely not. The tape was released yesterday at some point, and if you watch it, there is no way in hell you can discern anything from the frantic waving DURING the game. Afterwards, yes, it may be possible to sit and try to match the motions to the plays using a long process of logical interpretation given that there are 3 people waving signals, 2 of which are false.
Anyways, as has been said, they weren't the only team doing this. And I don't know if any of you guys saw the game last night, but this organization can clearly do without these taped signals.

Everyone knows they're not the only team doing it, they're just the first team caught. We don't know how many teams were doing it. We also have no way of knowing how well it was working with the Patriots. The NFL needed to send the message that this was unacceptable and needed to be stopped, the same way they've been cracking down on off the field issues and performance enhancing and illicit drugs.
Don't forget that teams have staffs that only look through films and do pretty much nothing but that so they can find an edge. It's about how you get that information, whether it's legal or not and how it's used
Besides, the dangerous thing about the "everyone else does it" argument as always is that lack of evidence. You can't assume that there's some sort of collusion here or some conspiracy theory. Here we have concrete evidence and the NFL had to act on it. I'm sure NFL security is going to keep a closer eye on this type of thing in the future.
