The wikipedia article is pretty superficial, but I've found quite a bit more information..... The problem with his videos is he does not go into ANY specifics about his motor. Without specifics he can't be refuted with mathematical calculations. Why would he not give that information to prove his validity? He claims its because he's "dumbing it down for the public", but of course the real reason is because that information prove's he's a fraud.
He claims noone listens to him and that he's tried for 20 years to prove that his machine works. Well, that's a lie, because there are multiple "Free Energy prizes out there. The largest being $100,000. That would put him on the scientific map instantaneously, as I said before, he'd win literally every science award there is. There are many awards for a Free Energy machine, because it literally means an infinite source of energy, and that means you could quickly harness that and become the most wealthy person in the world.
The test that Newman got the National Bureau of Standards to do reported that the machine only produces 30-50% of the power that it is consuming. Meaning that they other 50-70% is being wasted through friction or heat creation. So it's been thoroughly debunked.
In addition here's some more info about Newman:
Never taken a college level science class of any kind.
Has not let anyone inspect the innerworkings of his "machine"
He refuses to give the names of the "30 Scientists" he claims have sworn the machine's validity.
He has run for President multiple times
He claims to contact UFO's frequently
He claims God speaks to him, and has told him to investigate both solar power and the machine we're talking about.
He is married to his long time wife, as well as his own secretary, and her 8 year old daughter..... (at least until the state stepped in and put the girl in a foster home)
http://phact.org/e/z/8yr.gifHe says God gave him permission to marry the 8 year old girl.---------------------
So why does he do all this?

?? Is he just crazy? Is he a fraud?
Answer: He makes a living off of scamming peopleHe sells his $80 book to everyone he can find.
He has lured many naive (not educated in science) wealthy investors to invest in his idea, (one invested a whole $500,000 )
He goes around the nation, and once even rented out the Louisiana Super Dome to "display" his amazing invention. Everyone has to buy a ticket to see the show (and many walk away having been tricked into buying his book, which he claims teaches you how to build one, but the instructions build nothing more than a improperly wired DC motor)
He goes to small towns in tornado stricken areas of the nation and tries to sell them "Tornado Prevention" which he can provide.
------
He's a con man. He doesn't have to work, and he gets to surround himself with naive people who think he's a genius and for a stupid person, that is it's own reward.
