Increasing the playoff weeks is stupid, specially with the cap limit that is set. On those 2 last weeks most likely non of the startes will start and you'll have to drop almost everybody on your team to pick up the 3rd stringers that will play.

I suggest that for future Leagues we leave the yahoo defaults and only change the positions so that we have the same format (QB, WR, WR, WR, RB ... etc.). Every year Yahoo adjusts it's settings on all Fantasy sports so it can be more even based on what's happening on each league. In example since the NFL is more pass happy right now Yahoo modified it's QB and WR scorings.

Also all of these changes should have been made BEFORE the league started.

Thank you, Joel.  I also think the 8 team playoff is a bit much, but will roll with it if it stands.

Since we are agreeing to much lately I will have to call you a wetback to bring balance to the universe.

That is all.

I can see myself being 11th or 12th again this season...

That is all I have to say...but I will continue to live by the rules and play as fairly as I can.

OK, that's understandable.  Would you guys prefer it back to 4 or 6? I know week 17 sucks for starting players.

I think 6 is fine since we are in a 12 man league. I would scratch week 17.

This may be the best option, as Week15 every team is still going all out.  16 there's usually at least 1 or 2 who start to rest players.

Also, the advantage of 4 player playoffs means there is a Consolation Bracket as well as the Champ bracket.  So 8 players make it to the post season, instead of just 6 like in last year's 6 man playoffs.  Also a 4 man bracket means playoffs only take two weeks, instead of three, for 6 team.

I expect there might be some resistance to changing it to weeks 14 and 15 though, as DD claims one key part to his draft strategy is to pick players with favorable matchups in the playoff weeks.

Meh, we should probably just leave it how it was, as this is something that should have been discussed before the draft.  This is why we don't wait until the last day before the draft to configure the league settings. Tongue

Yeah I'm definetly dissapointed with how all of this has been managed. The settings were agreed to be the same as last season except 1 or 2 things. Now we have changes with no one requesting them. Keep everything as last season except what was already discussed.

Are you fucking serious?  Fucking get out more. These are things that can be fixed pretty easily and quickly. All I got asked was for opinions. I admit I erred in changeing the playoff system, but guess what, one change and it's done.

Sorry for my repeated long windedness.  I'm just thorough by nature and I like to lay out as many pros and cons as I see as relevant in order to make the best decision.   Undecided

For reference, the NFL sends 12 of 32 teams to the playoffs.  That's 37%.  37% of 12 is 4.5 teams.

Dude, you can do that in a lot less words is all I'm saying. I understand your points, I just want to make things as fair as possible. I don't need a list of pros and cons, I'm not new to this stuff, I get that.
