I call forward this proposal to name the last place team from the prior year. This honor would go to see poll above. My family/friend league does this and in our league the last placed team was named the "Red Rockets" in honor of my brothers big horny Bull mastiff (sp). I think it would bring a little fun to the draft.

Nobody would be forced named next season, to be fair to the cellar dweller, "Spectre"

I'm not saying this 'cause I was the last placed team but I don't really see a purpose to this and how it would "bring fun" to the draft.

I'll say this ... 1st pick sucks ass. My top 4 picks were busts.

I guess I thinking about a bunch of 20-40 year old guys sitting around a table drinking and poking fun at the current "Red rockets" I suppose it wouldn't be the same effect online.

No, you're right Mystic, it would be funny.  But it should be the top two players who get to decide the name of the last place team.

And don't mind Spec, he stopped being funny years ago.

One things for sure: it's got the DM Stamp of Approval, and that's really all you need!

Let's see.  I'll just tabulate the scores so far.

Mystic votes yes. 1- 0
Spec votes no.  1 - 1
Mnem votes yes. 2 - 1
DD votes yes. 3 - 1
DM seal of approval.  4876 - 1

We may need more forum members if this proposal isn't going to carry.

"Have the two last place teams play a playoff game"

I think that is great.  Since I don't think we can set that option up with Yahoo, we could just manually score it for say, the first round of the playoffs each year.  Loser gets the official title "Champ" or what-have-you for the following season.  Adds a little playoff excitement to the race for last.

Previous cellar dwellers:

05 - QBert
06 - QBert
07 - Mnem
08 - Spec
