I wouldn't be surprised if this one gets shot down.  This gives another advantage to WR's, TE's and pass catching RB's.  It does reward the possession WR, like a Welker, or a Derrick Mason, who doesn't necessarily get in the end zone much, but is constantly relied on for first downs.  That said, having a PPR does slightly punish the "home run hitter" WR that only catches long bombs, like a Hester, or a Lee Evans, or a Berrian in years past.

In lieu of a "point per first down" scoring setting, I like half PPR.

Again, this is a setting that doesn't really matter, but if you have a WR not get into the end zone, but he's been active with short passes all day, then his 8 receptions still help you out.

Never been a fan of PPR.

Although I would much rather have PPR than 10 receiving yards = 1 point.

You already know I support the PPR in the league, I think the WRs need to be made into more effective weapons than they are.  Our league's scoring heavily favors RBs, which ends up meaning that if you draft well with RBs then you'll be a contender -- and on the flip side, if your RBs suck or get injured (as many did this year, just as chew and spec!) then it is very hard to replace them in a 12 team league.  Giving more prominence to the WRs means that players who suffer injuries at various positions can more easily make up for it by making some smart moves at the WR position.

I do agree with Spec, though about the 10 years = 1 point.  If anything, it should be 15 = 1 point so, like I said above, they become more powerful weapons.

I can accept 15 yards = 1 point, even though I like 10 per point, but anything is better than 20= 1 point.

I don't like PPR.  Even if we do adopt it, it should be either PPR or 10 yards per point. Having both would make  WRs too valuable.

I agree.  In my college league this year, we used 10 yards per point and had half PPR, and that worked well.  It makes a #4 WR a viable alternative to a #3 RB when considering a flex spot on the roster.
