PLAYOFFS??!!??!?! Where are the playoff brackets!!

Here is my highly valued, mostly wrong opinion.

Colts beat San Diego - San Diego is on borrowed time and is exposed
Philly beats Minnesota Philly has to much D
Atlanta KNOCKS Warner out and crushes Arizona
Baltimore beats Miami in a 9-6 nail biter!

Oh yea, HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!

For Wild Cards:

Chargers over Colts
Eagles over Vikings
Falcons over Cardinals
Dolphins over Ravens

After that I'll say:

Chargers over Titans
Steelers over Dolphins
Giants over Falcons
Panthers over Eagles

Championship games I'll say:

Chargers over Steelers
Panthers over Giants

SuperBowl:
Panthers over Chargers

Chargers over Colts (Peyton Manning cries in post game about pressure, Darren Sproles rushes 100+)
Eagles over Vikings (eagles shut down the run, vikings have no passing game)
Cardinals over Falcons (boring game?)
Ravens over Dolphins (do i smell a fumble in wildcat formation)

Divisional Round:

Titans over Ravens (close game)
Chargers over Steelers (no big ben, no game)
Giants over Eagles (philly fans get disappointed again)
Panthers over Cardinals

Conference Championships:

Chargers over Titans
Giants over Panthers

Superbowl:

Super Chargers over Giants

Cardinals aren't going anywhere.

Simple...

Giants/Chargers Super Bowl.

Giants will stomp the shit out of any team they come across.

I will say that the way the Eagles played last week, they will put up a fight, but I just don't see them beating the Giants.

You were right on THAT one!

Maybe when Jerry Jones croaks and T.O. and Tony Rhomo leave the team, they will be contenders....for now they are pretenders...

Yes I know...the Bucs suck...

Once Gruden and all our old QB's are off the team, we can actually contend too.

LOL....nice try, Chew.  Note that I made that comment AFTER Dallas had already been knocked out of the playoffs....hence the joke.  I'm sorry you didn't get it.

I was really impressed with the Cardinals today....they shut down Turner very effectively.  It'll be interesting to see how far they can go.  It'd be fun to see old man Warner make a good run at another ring.

You may be right, Chew...I think the Giants will make it, although I'm not so sure about the Chargers....but we'll see.

I am starting to wonder about the Chargers also...IF LT is forced to stay out that could really hurt the team.  I don't think Sproles can be the lone RB the whole playoff run.  Bennett is helping but he doesn't have the all around ability that Sproles has.  Sproles will continue to get banged up and at 5'6, he will get hurt eventually.

I don't know, Chew....LT wasn't a factor at all in the game yesterday.  Yes, he ran for a TD, but that was a gimme TD and he only gained 25 yards total.  Sproles had over 300 yards total yardage gain yesterday, which includes punt returns.  He's a tough little guy and could very well carry the team far, imo...

Tennesse is beatable and Pittsburgh without Big Ben are beatable. I think The Chargers will make it with or without LT.

I don't think the Giants will make it. The Panthers have a complete package and the Giants are missing some key players.

For Wild Cards:

Colts over Chargers
Eagles over Vikings
Cardinals over Falcons
Ravens over Dolphins
Well, I was almost perfect!

The Chargers needed the best ever all-time playoff performance at 320+ all purpose yards from Sproles, AND they needed their questionable D to hold the Colts to only 17, and even then they needed to win the toss and score in overtime to win.  Oh well, clearly the Colts were not superbowl material if they couldn't stop Sproles.  Not to mention the Charger's Pro Bowl punter had an incredible day.

So that changes the games a bit:

Divisional Round:

Titans over Ravens
Steelers over Chargers
Giants over Eagles
Cardinals over Panthers (very close game, possibly OT)

Conference Championships:

Titans over Steelers
Giants over Cardinals

Superbowl:

Giants over Titans

Good Catch

Gonna be some great games.  Next weekend is the best weekend for watching football each year.  You get four great games each featuring a #1 or #2, vs the best of the rest.

I'm bracing for the soon to come NFL drought.

Ok, a few things on the Chargers? So the Chargers questionable D held the Colt offense that has been on fire the past 9 games to 17 points...  Yes, they have a few key players on IR, but I think a lot bad press they have received is not 100% justified because it is comparing their D this season, to previous years where their D was ranked #1.  Look at the games they lost, and points given up by the D and starting field position on those possessions that gave up the points.

LT might be injured, but to anyone who watched their season (or had LT on their fantasy team Tongue) LT did not carry the rushing load all season.  Darren Sproles shared quite a bit of the load all season, and as a Charger fan, i thought Sproles should of been the starting RB back around week 6.  Now with him ?starting?, everyone is questioning if he can do as good of a job as LT, and if his size is an issue.  The first one is a debate (LT this season, or past year), but his size is a huge issue.  Defenses have a very hard time keeping track of when he runs up the middle, as some of the linemen are a foot taller than him.  He is also very difficult to tackle for the same reason (listen what the Denver coach said).

For running backs, they also have Hester, Bennett, Latsko, and Tolbert.  I think Hester will have potential in the next few season, however he is not as explosive as most people expect a RB/FB to be.

Oh, one more thing, Mike Scifres is not going to the Pro-Bowl, but he should be at the Pro-Bowl.

Zera seems to forget that the Chargers have the Colts number and that the Colts are 4-7 under Dungie during playoffs ... that is 4 quick exits. The chargers should have finished 10-6 after that poor call from the ref. on the Denver game and that close game against the Jets. Also the Chargers were on the same position last season when they did not have a 100% LT nor Rivers. Remember LT is not the focus point of the offense anymore either.

Also lookup stats for Big Ben's games after having a concussion ... horrendous.

Also people are sleeping on the Panthers, remember they are proven on the playoffs and if they had not lost Delhomme last season who knows what would have happen.  Cards' are going nowhere.

I still say Panthers vs Chargers. Titans can't beat anyone by passing the ball and the Giants will miss Burress.

I will give you Panthers over Cards.  I still think it will be a close game, but a week rest, and a home field I think is too much for the Cards to overcome.  That said, I don't think the Panthers have a shot vs the Giants.

I've got nothing against the Chargers.  I like them and hope they do well.  Yes, the Chargers had a game stolen from them, but remember, 6 of their games come against the terrible Broncos, Chiefs, and Raiders.  So discounting those 5 wins, (one was stolen from them) They only had 3 more wins all season (NE, NYJ, TB), with losses to everyone else.  The two wins vs KC were both by only 1 point.  I think the loss of Neal at fullback was costly, possibly as costly as LT's injuries.

Anyways, I hope they do well, but I don't think they can beat anyone on the road.  They needed every lucky bounce to beat the Colts at home, but they will be fun to watch!

C'mon now Spec!  The Bears stacked the box, and were the only team to hold the Titans RB's to under 100 yards this year, and Collins shredded them.

You're talking about a chargers team whose D has been hurt all season and have changed they're play style on O. they have found they're groove.

Who did not shred the Bears this season?

Panthers lost to the Giants in OT, I think the Panthers get revenge and go all the way.

Very impressive showing by the Eagles today.  I expected it to be a good game, but I didn't think they'd be able to shut down the whole Giants offense like that.

I'm with Spec, I think it will be Steelers v Eagles, and dare I say it, but I think the Eagles finally get a ring.

I found the cause of the Card's success:
Cardinals aren't going anywhere.

Simple...

Giants/Chargers Super Bowl.
