Favre!?

Vick!?

Cutler!!

TO - haha

Brady?Huh?

-----

Crazy shit going down this year.  I'm glad Brett is playing again, and yes I'm a Packer fan, but I have to say, seeing the #1 RB on Brett's team is going to be fun.  My Packers are really tough this year, but the Vikigs games are going to be intense, and not just due to historical relevance, but because both teams are going to be DAMN good.

Cutler traded away?  One of the top stud young QB's out?  WTF is Denver thinking?HuhHuh??  Orton to lead them?  WTF??

I think Vick deserves a second chance.  He's done his time, and he will never live his actions down, and while I understand some fans being mad at the NFL for letting him come back, and certainly people have a right to let him know they don't like him, I do think he deserves a second chance.

That said, WTF Eagles?  Seriously, W-T-F?Huh?/  LOL  Of all teams, wtf would the eagles want Vick.  I can't make any sense out of that.

TO spurned from Dallas.  awesome.  a Bill now, LOL  poor Trent

------------------------

Man I'm glad it's fucking football season.  !!

Oh yea, is Mr. Tom going to be back on his game this year?  Is he going to have post-knee shred jitters?  Is that famous cool head of his going to go out the window the first time he gets rocked each game?

It's gonna be a hell of a year.

Out of all those guys, Cutler looks most promising...

Vick deserves to have his testicles cut off and fed to the dogs he mutilated...

Brady will have his knees taken out again...

Favre will be a total embarrassment.  Retire already omg!!!

Bah, Favre will be fine.  He could use a decent reciever, but he'll be fine.  You'll see.  A good O-line, and the #1 RB, that can make any QB look good.

No TO bashing chew?  Haha

Man the NFC North looks fucking tough this year.  That's assuming Cutler can make the transition.  It's gonna be a brawl.

Out of all  of them?

Fk Favre the hardest, right in the ear. I am just tired of him. He has not been a professional at all with all the maybes, no's, and IDK's, be a man most importantly ffs. I understand the passion to continue playing, but not at the expense of youth that is trying to develop. Understandably the Jets suck and they waited a year to find their true new QB, but he is going to hurt Minnesota who had a very promising season last year. I truly hope they sit him for Jackson, and if not I hope they let Adrian run the ball for 2 downs every set, then let B sling a pick.

I forgive Vick, he probably had a horrible group of friends that roped him in. He most likely just gambled and funded a lot of the crime but in the end had someone rat him out when they all got caught themselves. It's easier and more of a statement to take down one celebrity than a bunch of nobody dirtbags. He did his time, and I am glad he got a 2nd chance. His brother who was also an amazing athlete unfortunately threw his career away by making way too many mistakes and never learning from them.

Have you noticed Briman how fucking hostile you are?  You have nothing but hostility and ranting in everything you say.  Im sorry but that mother fucker doesnt deserve to go out and get a second chance at something most of us could only DREAM of getting in a millions lifetimes!  Being a star and millionaire...give me a fucking break Briman...  If he went out there and played for $100K a year and donated 50% of it to protect animals and their environments for the next 5 years, I would say OK and that to me would be an HONEST payment for his crimes... Sitting in a jail cell where im sure his ass was pampered like a King in the Ritz Carlton for 18 months is not what I call paying for his crimes...

BTW... if that was me you or some other Joe Blow down the street who did that dog bullshit, we would be sitting in jail for the next 10 years...plus all the other felony charges that that motherfucker got off the hook for because he was famous...  haha yeah he paid for his assigned punishment.

Yeah im SOOOOO ANTI-AMERICAN...  STFU Briman damn you really sound fucking stupid.

Servo, your right about the people he hung out with were probably dirtbags, but it doesn't excuse him as a grown adult to pull these acts of cruelty.  I LOVE dogs and animals in general and my 4 year old Golden Retriever was run over and left for dead by some fucktard earlier this year who wouldnt stop and see if he could help.  My dog was alive for a while after he was hit so this type of shit really hits me hard.

Hey guys, you both have a right to your opinion, as they both have valid viewpoints.  That said, you both need to cool it.

---------

I'll say this about all you Favre haters....  how can you not love the storyline?  Ok Granted, he was kind of a media whore the past two years (more the media's fault than his) but I don't think any true football fan can honestly say that this doesn't make for good football.

You put a unanimous first ballot hall of famer at the end of his career, on a team with the #1 RB, with an outstanding offensive line, and a pretty damn good defense.  This isn't Joe Montana going to play for the putrid Cheifs.  This is Joe Montana going to play with a young '84 or '85 Bears team.  Will the Vikes go 15-1?  Okay, probably not, but I think 10+ win season is a LOCK, and I would put money on it.

Now you can't tell me that isn't going to be exciting.  Young talent be damned!  NFL isn't about playing YOUNG players, it's about playing the best player at every position.  Tavaris should (and probably will someday) be thankful he got to be Favre's understudy.

Anyways, i can't wait for the season.  OH MAN, can you imagine if the Vikes were to trade for Marshall?HuhHuh??

HAHA HOLY SHIT.

Zera watch as Marshall goes to the Jets...  If not then someone will have to give up a 2nd rounder and someone big on their team for him and Marshall has baggage...

As for Favre, I think the guy was a great football player...BUT I do not think he is going to be the savior people are making him out to be for the Vikes.  I certainly hope he sticks it to the Packers and has 400+ yard games vs them and kills them, but I think they guy needed to hang up his shoes and pads 2 years ago.

I say he is hurt by week 7... Tavaris takes over and the team still makes the playoffs without him.  My opinion of course!  cool

I disagree as a bears fan and a Purdue Alum.

I think Denver got the better end of this deal.  I am not going to argue Cutler's numbers only attribute some of his numbers to having recievers with two hands that can catch, and having a decent offensive line and a marginal running threat.  The Bears are missing parts of this equation...

Having watch Orton all of college, and almost every pro-game, i have seen his game develop in leaps and bounds. In college he was good throwing the long ball, but struggled with crossing patterns.  His rookie year was no exception, if you look at the majority of his picks it was throwing crossing patterns.  Over the past few years that trend has changed and he has looked more comfortable throwing the crossing pattern and has not been intercepted throwing that sort of pass as much.

Then there are the Bears receivers.  Their 'star' receiver was a freaking DB, who else does Chicago have? anyone, anyone, Bueller.  Then Denver with Brandon Marshall, Eddie Royal, Brandon Stokley, Jabar Gaffney, and more and more depth.

This trade will most likely shape up almost as bad for the Bears as when San Diego let go/traded Drew Brees.

Regarding Vick: Chew didnt you fuck up being a nurse and wanted a second chance? Maybe that's not really the case but regardless the guy deserves a second a chance, he served his time. I think Dungy has and will help him a lot as his counselor and the Eagles are a no nonsense organization which will serve him well. That said if he does mess up once he should get the boot and not let another Pacman Jones situation arise.

Regarding Favre: Favre is still better than 70% of the QB's in the NFL. He's better than any QB MN has on the roster. People also forget that 2 years ago Favre was 1 Qtr away from the SuperBowl and that last season, prior to getting injured (and continue playing injured), his numbers were great and the Jets looked awesome. Once he got injured you saw his numbers go down and the Jets miss the playoffs. I think MN and the Eagles are the teams to beat in the NFC.

Regarding Cutler/Orton: I somewhat agree with evicted. I think Orton isb etter than most people think. He does not have the physical tools that Cutler has but Orton can protect the ball and thrive under pressure. He is a good QB who can manage the ball well. Cutler has a lot of talent and upside but like evicted said he will suck ass without any WR's to catch the ball. He also trusts his arm too  much and plays like a gunslinger. I think Cutler is great on the long run, Orton was better short term.

Did anyone catch both the Denver and the Chicago game?

Cutler had 4 interceptions, he should have had 9 ints but there is a reason those DBs are not wide recievers...  Also, two passes where the packers defense = epic fail amounted to 160 yards of Cutlers 277 total yards...  Sure Forte looked less than stellar trying to start the run, but where he excelled last year was both in the run and in the short pass (which helped open up the run).  How many catches did Forte or a tight end have???  This was a painful game to watch as a Bears fan against a division rival

Orton threw 17/28, 243 with 1 td.  Not stellar numbers but those who watched the game saw Denver's complete inability to run the ball, a sketchy offensive line, several gain erasing penalties, and saw many catchable passes dropped by Denver's reassembled receivers.  All this with an offense gutted and remodeled from the ground up a short while ago.
