Mnem, Bri and I have been discussing this today, and so we noticed that there are three changes for this year's league:
1.) Mystic proposed:
http://www.bkp-society.com/index.php?topic=3195.0I call forward this proposal to name the last place team from the prior year. This honor would go to see poll above. My family/friend league does this and in our league the last placed team was named the "Red Rockets" in honor of my brothers big horny Bull mastiff (sp). I think it would bring a little fun to the draft.
Nobody would be forced named next season, to be fair to the cellar dweller, "Spectre"
The vote passed! Meaning that whoever finishes last this year, will be awarded an honorary team name for 2010, by whomever wins the league this year (2009). Nobody's team is renamed for this year, as per the proposal. I think this will add an extra motivation to not finish last, and bring some extra fun to the league. Thanks for suggesting it Mystic.

2.) I proposed we consider changing the scoring for receiving yards, and consider PPR:
http://www.bkp-society.com/index.php?topic=3190.0The winning selection was: 1 Point per 10 Yards, No PPR, with a vote of 5-3, with 8 voters. This scoring system is default almost everywhere else (including Yahoo the past two seasons) so it's good we're finally changing it.

3.) About a week and a half ago, when I was creating my College league for this year I noticed that finally Yahoo has added the "Sunday to Tuesday" waiver option, which keeps anyone from snatching backup players after the starter player has gone down with an injury. There are three days left on this vote, and you can vote and view the discussion here:
http://www.bkp-society.com/index.php?topic=3408.0It did appear that it was going to pass conclusively, but someone just voted against it, so the vote stands now at 3-2. We will only implement this one if it passes, so VOTE NOW!
Again, this is another setting that is default among the vast majority of fantasy football leagues.
===============================
Alright, if anyone has any further qualms with these changes, please speak up now, or forever hold your peace. And please, during these discussions, lets all make a real effort to be amicable.
In addition, anything we try this year, we can change it back next year if we don't like how it goes.
