This is ONLY proposals, feel free to deny, add subtract or give any input you feel would be helpful..
Every 25 kickoff/punt return yards = 1 point
Below are OPTIONS we can add...it would add some more skill into the league...
Defense Positions:
Defense/Special Teams (DEF): Defensive Player (D): Defensive Back (DB): Defensive Lineman (DL): Linebacker (LB): Defensive Tackle (DT): Defensive End (DE): Safety (S): Cornerback (CB):

I like the punt return points. Good idea, Chew.
I'm not into the whole defensive player thing...I have a hard enough time researching my offensive players. While I think it would bring a whole new level of play to the league, I kinda like this league because it doesn't really require me to worry about a defensive roster.
Did you make the scoring changes that Zera posted, Chew?

Mnem, yes he set the recieving yards to equal to rushing yards like we voted last year.
I'm not in favor of Defensive players, its just too much to keep track of, and the truth is, defensive players don't score many points, meaning its alot like adding 4 more kickers to everyone's team. Sure there are standout kickers, but with those positions everyone just picks one and goes with it, so defensive players are alot like that. Like Kickers, there are just a LOT of guys in the league who score almost exactly the same amount of points, and not only is it not predictable, but it doesn't add much to the game.
I have a question about return yards. I like it, but how does that work, I assume those are tacked onto the Defense / Special Teams that the player is on?
What if that player is also one of your WRs or RB's, Like Reggie Bush or Devin Hester? Do those yards count for both the special teams they are on, AND their own personal stats?

It says Receiving/Punt Return yards with a blank per 1 pt.
So I filled it in as 25... I cant change it to anything but I think getting a point per 25 yards add a little bit more fun to the mix but ill leave it up to you.

The question is:
Defense / Special Teams rack those points?
Or is it racked by player?

Spec, I've looked this up trying to find a conclusive answer, given that this is a new stat category, and I think the answer is that the points scored for yards are applied to both the individual player, AND the defense. Similar to how TD's have always been scored.

Spec never seems to agree on anything and is never open-minded...he would rather stick to the same game plan every year and never be up for some new things.
THAT sucks...

Nope I just think those sucks.
Open minded? Let's play for money or try a keeper league. That's never been done and I'm sure it would def. be better than the proposals above.
