We all drafted really well!

In previous year's we've seen Vick #1 overall, Moss #1 overall, Kickers taken in the second round, but this year we didn't have any of that!

The honest truth is that we are all pretty balanced in that we all have at least one weakness.  The only person with no weaknesses (in my eyes) is Mnem.

QB: Warner
RB: Chris Henry
RB: Pierre Thomas / Jamaal Lewis
WR: Fitzgerald
WR: Lance Moore
WR: Chris Henry / Percy Harvin / Burleson
TE: Owen Daniels / Heath Miller

Defense: Pitt

So Mnem is pretty stacked right there.  Other than Mnem I don't see anyone who is nearly as solid as that.  P0lar is close, and so is DD.  And Damn didn't P0lar draft well for having never played fantasy football before!  Well done man!

Z-Team - D. McFadden is this year's DeAngelo Williams.
1Own- Beanie Wells is this year's Matt Forte, only in a better offense.
Isux - Brees, Moss.  Touchdown machines.

Everyone else is just about tied imo.

I didn't like my draft.  I came in wanting Brady, Moss, McFadden and Wells.  I thought I could keep passing on McFadden and Wells without anyone scooping them up but perennial FF sleuths Zera and Spec wisely drafted them earlier than their rankings.  Then perennial asshole Qbert took Felix Jones and Nick Folk straight out of the top of my queue.  Die in a fire, buddy.

Well, I'll say this.  With the first pick, you don't get another pick until picks 24 and 25, and so, in our RB heavy league, nearly all the top RB's were gone by then, and so I went with two stud WR's.  Picking McFadden early (with the last pick of the fourth round) was really just desperation.  Warner and Rodgers had just been taken, so that ruled out a QB at that spot for me, Witten was gone (the only stud TE I was willing to take that early) and already having 2 WR's, I had to go for the best two RB's left, because I couldn't afford to be RB-less going into the 7th round.

That said, I didn't really answer spec's question, so here goes.

After looking again, I realized I underestimated Briman's team, and so I now think that he tied mnem at the top.

Mnem and Bri - tied for 1st

p0lar, myself, DD and Spec - tied for 3rd

and everyone else is pretty damn even.  Definitely our most skilled draft we've ever had.

----------

DD, what do you think about Hightower being named the starter?  You still think he will win the job?  Yes, he has put up stats in preseason, but only against 3rd and 4th stringers.  I've dropped Wells in two other leagues and picked up Hightower, but I'm keeping an eye on the situation.  I made those drops a week ago when Hightower was named the starter, and noone else in those leagues has picked up Wells, at least not yet.  I guess if Hightower struggles...

Check out Hightower's Game Log from last year.  Edgerrin James became persona non grata in week 8 when his fumble cost the Cardinals the game.  Hightower became the starter the next week and got 100+ yards.  Look what he did after that. He never reached 20 carries or 100 yards again all year and the Cardinals brought James back into the picture for the postseason.  He's about the size of Adrian Peterson but way, way slower.

Wow, I didn't realize his end to the season was so poor.  Oh well, either way, I just hope they don't end up in a year long time share.

I'll see if I can squeeze wells back onto my other rosters.
