Jets: Cromartie - meh, the guy gets burned in big ways all the time Holmes - meh, a career #2 receiver thus far? LT - potentially huge if his health really was responsible for the last two years, but if it's age, LT < Thomas Jones
Don't get me wrong, I still think the Jets will do well, I just don't see them at better than 10-6 unless the real LT returns to the NFL. If he does, they could go 13-3 easy.
I think the big winner so far is the Ravens getting Boldin. That stood out to me as one of the biggest acquisitions to a team that needed exactly that, a superstar receiver. The Ravens have an amazing run game, and still a very solid D, and now they can finally get a stud receiver for their young stud QB to throw to. And yes, Boldin has been a #2 most of his career, and I am suspect of that normally, BUT Fitz has been injured and missed enough games over the years, and what happened? Boldin stepped into the #1 spot and dominated.
Oh, and WHY THE HELL would the Broncos trade for Brady Quinn? W-T-F???
Also, the Redskins have Clinton Portis, and they go out and acquire LARRY JOHNSON and Willie Parker.... I can see Parker, but paying $4 Million for Larry, who has another $12M of incentives (you know, if they actually use him) strikes me as a very bizarre set of moves for the Redskins.
I guess this is a crazy Shanahan starting up again with his crazy and ever changing backfield. It's just that in the past, he has gone to the undrafted/cut players in the league to fill his stable of RB's. Strange he would pay big bucks on this group. Also, why would shanahan make the deal with the redskins in the first place?
