Sounds interesting.  Can't wait to see how they play out.

Should up the scoring quite a bit.  No more of that damn trap defense that teams like the devils play.

devils 2k6 champs. forget the salary cap we're nj our dirty casino and mobster money will be enough to pay players under the table, not that we'll have to pay anyone besides brodeur and elias!

The only rule Im not a fan of is taking away the red line.  Thats going to make the D play that much farther back...might hinder scoring a bit in the beginning till they figure it out.

Joel, Ottowa...are you serious...Oh wait you have Hasek.. cheesy....and Servo...we'll see how good Brodeur is without some kind of smothering D in front of him.

Hate to tell you boys...but its going to be a wide open season this year....even teams like Carolina, Columbus,Nashville and the like are going to be competitive.

By the way..Bruins 06' cup winners.

Yes but the Devils GM Lou Lamoriello barely pays his players that much in the first place so expect everyone to be returning, and you can still use the trap without 2 line passes, it's taught and practiced a lot at the youth level because their is no 2 line pass in any youth/club and HS/College level because that type of teamplay is simply the way to win in the sport of hockey like it or not.

I would have liked to see the NHL Rink diameters follow the International's simply because bigger ice space means more open room for skating/passing/shooting and may lead to even bigger hits. Making the area behind the nets smaller is very stupid and may lead to slower gameplay and/also players falling on the backs of the nets.

I highly dislike the no goalies in corners rule because Brodeur was absolutely the best goalie stickhandler ever to play the game and now that advantage is practically useless, the only positive out of this I'd hope for is more big hits in the corners but we'll see...

The vegas odds for winning the cup went from 11:1 to 3:1 for the flyers after he signed.
