Isn't the whole point of freedom of speech to be able to call someone in the government a "turd blossom" and get away with it?

Seems pretty retarded to me. I mean, it's one of the more civil nicknames that the president has for one of his top advisors. It's hard to argue.

People so often confuse what Freedom of Speech means.

The government does not own the newspapers, therefore their editors can decide wether they wish to print something or not.   It's the same fundamental concept that says I can't go into your house and scream at the top of my lungs until I pass out.  If you kick my ass out, you're not violating my freedom of speech, you're upholding your right to privacy.

I see what your saying DD, the "your rights end where others begin" rule of thumb. On the other hand corporate control in this country is so tight that anything and everything is monitored and/or altered. I still  cant believe that no one in this administration has been fired yet and the softball style questions that Bush gets lobbed at him EVERY press conference. Its so blatant nowadays it obviously scripted.

Oh and if you liked NAFTA heres CAFTA !  The Bushys for the win again ! Good bye middle class jobs, nice to know ya.
