Second part, whole posts were deleted, including portions that were relevant to the conversation, which pissed me off. But I didn’t make a big stink of it then, and I’m really not trying to now. MY point, was that this wasn’t moderated after, like, 14 hours, which I think speaks very highly of the moderators.
I think now we’re all over-reacting. Grown-ups are allowed to use bad words from time to time, folks. I’m with you that it doesn’t really “help” the cause of a good debate, but it doesn’t mean we need some overseer to come in and smack us each time we’re a little naughty. Mnem said it, you said it, we’re adults. Adults are allowed to call each other twats after being accused of having syphilis. You’re the one making a big deal out of this. The guy I called a twat just went back to his standard operating procedure of ignoring me. There’s a peaceful elegance to it. Real zen.
