Stevie Xterm wanted me to tell ya’ll to come play Friday evening at 9pm ET, 8pm CT. He said tell everyone here and to ask whoever else online but I rarely have used any chat programs with anyone thanks to awesome sites like Facebook have popped up. He said he has some fellas from ID who will download Q2+JailBreak and hop on and play for a bit to see what all the fun was we used to have.. maybe they are interested in tossing it into QuakeLive somehow one day
He said just to turn Automatic Download ON as the server has all the files setup and will give you what you need, so maybe test joining the server. I actually have had the IP server saved for quite awhile on Xfire 2.0. But if you have the files still I’m assuming it will still work, if I can find them online I’ll post just in case.
While I love the idea seeing as how I pretty much play QL erryday now and have a pro account. Shouldn’t we be playing Q3JBPOW and not Q2. I mean QL is Q3. Just saying…
Well you can always download the demo and that allows you to play online as long as you have the necessary mod files, if the server has automatic download like it should then they’ll just download manually, then just setup your config and you should be good to go. I think you can download the Demo at a few places… Quake 4 came with a Q2 CD which was pretty cool, too bad Quake 4 wasn’t
